NEWSFLASH!  Dressage has been added as an approved class for 2012 - any open dressage show will count toward points!  Dressage will be part of the hunt seat discipline in 2012.

Welcome to the Open Horse Show Association.  OHSA's mission is to provide national recognition and awards to those that show in the open show ring in their local areas.  All open and 4-H shows in the country qualify.  You'll compete against other OHSA members across the nation.  Points are accumulated on a calendar year basis.  See the "Rules" section for all the information you need.  Show locally, achieve nationally.

 

In 2012, OHSA will award year end high points to the overall champion and reserve champion high point.  High points will also be awarded to the high point and reserve high point in each of the six disciplines:

in hand

bullet

western

bullet

hunt seat

bullet

saddle seat

bullet

gaited

bullet

speed

 

OHSA will maintain an approved open show judges list.  Judges wishing to be carded under OHSA must complete the OHSA judge's test.   See the "Judges" section for more information on becoming an approved OHSA judge.
